Who is the most eligible person to write a company’s business blog? An employee? A top executive? A person who knows about the business, brand and image of the company? Wrong! Here are the reasons why:
1. Unless the selected person is a good writer, company blog may turn out to be humdrum at best.
2. Readers may get a biased perspective about the business from the insider.
3. Internal person may inadvertently release the classified information.
4. Person may be a disgruntled employee and may write things in the blog that may harm the company reputation.
5. Unless the person is a Chief Blogging Officer, time available to write a really good article may be limited for an employee, as it is an additional job for him/her.
So who is the right person to write a company’s business blog? Let me present a not-so-novel concept here – Outsourcing. Yes, outsourcing maybe the answer. How will it work? What are the pros and cons of this type of outsourcing? Bookmark this blog to find out the answers soon.
