Can this wild idea of Blog Process Outsourcing work? Even if it works, what are the pros and cons associated with this type of outsourcing? First we will discuss the cons of Blog outsourcing and then pros.
For the sake of clarity, I will be referring the company that out sources the blog process as the Client and the company that accepts the job of blog process as BPOC.
One of the most negative factors in this business is the fear of lawsuits. After all, the BPOC will be writing on behalf of a Client and if it is not careful enough about what it writes, then it can have adverse effect on the Client’s products, services, sales and/or reputation. We already know the written word can be powerful enough to cause shift in power or come across in an unintended way, which can be a cause for lawsuit.
Bloggers are known for their free spirit and religiously exercising their First Amendment rights. The big challenge is how can a BPOC maintain a delicate balance between Blogger’s First Amendment rights and writing about Clients, their products and services, customer support issues fairly and not make the Clients look bad in the blog?
Another issue can be a situation where BPOC gets two competing Clients. Loyalty and Ethics issues can force the BPOC to reject one of the two Clients to keep things clean.
As with other businesses, this business can be very competitive with so many enterprising bloggers out there. I am sure many of these issues with Blog Process Outsourcing can be overcome by the bloggers themselves.
